The Vortex Housing

The role of the vortex housing is to transfer the kinetic energy of the impeller to the liquid (or gas) into pressure energy. The vortex housing is generally used in hair dryer, blower water pump housing, or booster pump, etc. The shape of the vortex housing is similar to an involute, the axis of the impeller is biased to one side, the outer edge of the impeller and the vortex housing at the nearest gap is the smallest, the rotation of the centrifugal wheel makes the wind or water blow out from the outlet. The water inlet (or air inlet) enters from the impeller shaft and blows out to the outlet at the edge of the vortex housing under the action of centrifugal force.
